Lady Gaga and her fiancé, San Francisco technology executive Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together. The baby's name, sex, and exact birth date have not been made public.
The birth was confirmed by Page Six on September 11, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The pop star, a Grammy Award winner who turned 40 in March, and Polansky, 42, have kept nearly every detail of the pregnancy and birth private, consistent with how they have handled much of their relationship, which began in 2019, out of the spotlight.
Polansky is a familiar name in San Francisco business circles well before his relationship with Gaga made headlines. He graduated from Harvard University in 2006 with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science and now serves as executive director of the $600 million Parker Foundation, which he co-founded in 2015 with tech entrepreneur Sean Parker, according to his Wikipedia entry. How Gaga's Mother Set the Match in Motion
Gaga and Polansky were introduced in late 2019 after Gaga's mother, Cynthia Germanotta, met Polansky through charity networks and told her daughter she had met her future husband, according to Business Insider's account of their relationship timeline. The two first spoke at Sean Parker's 40th birthday party in Los Angeles that December, the outlet reported. Germanotta was active in philanthropic networks, and it was through that overlapping philanthropic world that she crossed paths with Polansky in the first place.
